About 52 Quilts
"52 Quilts in 52 Weeks" came about when I bragged in July of 2011 that I had made 35 quilt tops so far that year. Elder Son said "hey, that's almost one quilt per week!" And the challenge was on! Could I really make 52 Quilts in 52 Weeks? Well, yes! Younger Son insisted "52 quilts in 52 weeks is a great idea for a blog," so Thanksgiving weekend I dipped my toe in the blogging water.
The Younger Son (aka My Little Sailor, currently assigned to the American Forces Network in Yokosuka, Japan) is my tech editor. He updates the blog header each year, and wrote a really touching blog post last Mother's Day. Best of all, he is a professional photographer, so my profile photo makes me look 10 years younger (and 20 pounds lighter!)
UFO Challenge
My favorite posts are the monthly "UFO Parades." Each month, on the first, I post a "parade" of finishes by 52 Quilt's followers. Last year we finished nearly 200 projects! Go here for details, and remember: You are the boss of your quilting!
Hats for Sailors
My other "big project" is Hats for Sailors. This group knits hats for US Navy Sailors, and each year we select one or more ships to receive the hats we've knit that year. In 2014, we knit more than 500 hats! My goal for 2015 is to knit 52 Hats for Sailors (nine so far!)
There's a Giveaway!
I think the most fun thing about "Grow Your Blog" week is the giveaway. I love sending goodies all over the world -- I've made friends in Australia (Hi! Susan!), Israel (Hi! Debbie!) and England (Hi! Gill!). This year, I have seven of Miss Rosie's "Schnibbles" patterns plus two charm packs of Bonnie & Camille's Vintage Modern to give away.
Want to win? All you have to do is:
- Comment on this blog post. Tell me if you're a quilter or if your craftiness takes another form.
- If you're a no-reply blogger, please include contact info. If I can't find you, I can't send you the prize.
- My blog is set not to allow anonymous comments so that the robots cannot find me. If you do not have an ID, you can still enter by email at the address listed under "About Aunt Marti" in the right-hand column of this page and I will post your comment for you so you have a chance to win.
- International entries welcome, of course!
- Giveaway ends Valentines Day, February 14 at noon Mountain Standard Time. The winner will be announced on Sunday, February 15.
I didn't quite make 52 quilts in 2014 -- and I probably won't in 2015, either. But it's lots of fun to try, right? Thanks for dropping by!
I am a quilter and a knitter! Each craft is so creative!
ReplyDeleteHi Marti...you,already "know" me as I participate in your UFO challenge and love it! Just stopping by to say hello during the Grow Your Blog event! HI!
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter, though I love sewing and crafting generally. What a beautiful gift you gave to your brother and his wife!
ReplyDeleteI am a Belgian quilter, from time to time i do cross stich to.
ReplyDeleteGreat give away, thank you.
Hello Belgium! I'm so sorry that your comment comes through as a "no reply commenter." Please email me your email address so if you win the giveaway, I can find you!
Deletewhat fun Marti! As you know I have been following for a long time and have lots of UFO's! I like to English paper piece, to applique and embroider. I like to make quilt tops, but hate to quilt LOL
ReplyDeleteI am quilting, knitting and last week I started spinning which I find faszinating :)
ReplyDeleteI have lots of challenges for me this year - I have several UFO's, 2 tops that just need quilting nad several more that I would love to make...
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter, and a knitter, and crocheter and prevaricator!
ReplyDeleteMy crafty personal project for 2015 is to make my very first quilt! Hoping my tinie tiny sewing machine will be up to the job, and that I will make the time to do it inbetween holding down the day job and the new business I'm trying to get off the ground - i make flower crowns and bridal accessories, (plus daily life :D). Certainly will be popping back for inspiration. Glad to have found you through GYB. x
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter and a knitter, and my daughter is teaching me to crochet. I think 52 hats is just as impressive as 52 quilts! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI can now call myself a quilter after finishing my first quilt for my granddaughters in December. I am inspired by your 52 quilts in 52 weeks. I usually wait a long time in between sewing projects or do many at one time and then break for a long time. I'm trying to pace myself this year to see how much I can accomplish. Nice to "meet" you. ;)
ReplyDelete(My quilt was done with Scrumptious by Bonnie and Camille. Love their fabric designs and colors.)
I have been quilting since the 70s. I've been following your blog for a while now and enjoy it a lot.
ReplyDeleteI am a quilt dabbler, and dabble in other crafts, too. I don't accomplish nearly as much as you do in a year, though! :)
ReplyDeleteI follow you on Bloglovin! I am new to quilting having made my first pieced top this year. I will take more classes at my local quilt shop this year to increase my skills!
ReplyDeleteI'd also like to learn to sew totes and pouches! Love reading blogs for inspiration.
Thank you for the giveaway!
Your son sounds like a handy person to have around! My mother-in-law quilts, so we have quilts all over our house. My husband won't ever let me wash them because some of them were made by his grandmother--so I only use the one my mother-in-law made for me because I can wash it regularly. Okay, now I sound like a clean nut--I just don't know about using a quilt that can only be washed once a year!
ReplyDeleteI´m a quilter, knitter and I do a lot of other things like spinning , scrapbooking and...
ReplyDeleteA link to your blog has been on my blog for about a year. This year I will try to get some of my ufos into finished quilts. I have written on pieces of papir with numbers, and I try to forget who is who. Then I will have "a mystery" every month. Love it.
Greetings from Norway.
I am a quilter and have enjoyed reading your blog for a long while. I always find inspiration here! And I agree that it's fun to set an ambitious goal for making quilts -- with so many great ideas out there we can stay busy for a long time.
ReplyDeleteQuilting all the way with me for sure! Hopefully you'll get some more UFO-ers this year to join the fun with us!
ReplyDeleteI haven't quilted nearly as much as I'd like to in the past few years, but I'm slowly getting back on the horse. Maybe this year I'll finish my daughter's quilt that I started 18 years ago!

I quilt but at a much much slower speed than you Marti. Thats the joy of quilting, you work at your own speed and you can work on a quilt all day or just for a short time.
ReplyDeleteQuilting and baking are my favorite ways to show people I love them. Thank you to your son for his service to our country :)
ReplyDeleteMy craftiness takes many forms, the most recent is quilting. I would never make a goal of a quilt a week as my last quilt is still a WIP and going on 2 years. Part of that is the hand quilting, another is that it is a weekend project. I also like to make smaller projects in between, when I have been working on the large ones for too long.
ReplyDeleteI'm a quilter. I didn't make 52 quilts last year, but I got to 12, so I count that as successful. Thanks for the giveaway!

Hello Aunt Marti (*big Wave), Welcome to the Grow Your blog party.
ReplyDeleteLoving all these quilts.. unfortunately I'm not really good with it.. so i'm glad to see your beautiful work in the many future posts to come.
Hope you'll have many new friends and followers this coming week. Huge hugs from Singapore
I do quite a few different crafts, but quilting is the current favourite.

ReplyDeleteI am addicted to quilting as you know and enjoy visiting other blogs but always come back to your!
ReplyDeleteHey AuntMarti!
ReplyDeleteI truly enjoy reading your blog. Your posts inspire me to keep learning and having fun!
I am a beginner quilter, scrapbooker, photographer, cross-stitcher, "I'll try almost any craft"er. LOL
These charm packs look lovely, and new patterns would give me more fun ways to learn! Thanks for the opportunity to throw my name in the pot!
I read your blog all the time and love your work. I would love to win the Bonnie and Camille charm packs and I love love love Schnibbles patterns. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI would love to make 52 quilts in 52 weeks but my busy schedule doesn't allow me the time to do so. I am a quilter at this time in my life but have been a multi-crafter for most of my life including a children's boutique clothing line.
ReplyDeletetushay3 (at) yahoo (dot) com
wow! I actually bought fabric before I had the little guy, along w/ some basic supplies, intending to make a quilt - hasn't happened yet, but it will. i scrapbook, art journal, make mixed media art, etc. I found you via the gyb party! hope you'll stop by and visit me as well! have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Marti - I am a quilt maker and my preferred technique is English paper piecing! I'm in section 34 of the GYB list (Faeries and Fibres).
ReplyDeleteI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your Farmer's Wife quilt! Stunning!
Hi Marti! I'm in Stash Bee and started following you there =) I'm participating in your UFO challenge this year (and just finished my January challenge Friday night.) In addition to quilting, I enjoy sewing, crocheting, and painting among other crafty fun.
ReplyDeleteMy son is my technical adviser too (and my web designer). I may have to see if he can make me look 10 years younger and 20 lbs lighter... lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm a quilter but I also love sewing all sorts of things. Plus I knit and crochet. Thanks for the giveaway and the chance to win.
52 quilts in a year! I'm in awe. I've dabbled in quilting, but I tend not to make anything bigger than a table runner
ReplyDeleteI'm a quilter and found you through the GYB party. I hope you meet your goal of 52 quilts--that would be awesome. I feel lucky to get one UFO finished each month--I get too distracted and I'm always starting something new.
DeleteI am a quilter. I love how your son's help out with your quilting. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter! And love every minute of it. I also like to dabble in hand embroidery, cross stitching, knitting, and crochet. I may be retired now, but find there is just not enough time to do all of the things that I love to do.
ReplyDeleteMy main passion is quilting. I enjoy quilting during the day and then knitting in evenings during my TV shows. I also enjoy embroidery, wool applique, bead work, drawing, and English paper piecing.
ReplyDeleteHow can you bear to part with the Vintage Modern? I absolutely love that line of fabric.
I have followed you for a while, and I love your quilts!!! I am a quilter and love it, something about taking fabric, cutting it up and creating something new and useful really makes me happy. Thanks for the chance!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower. Love your quilts. I would never be able to make 52 quilts in a year. Heck I have a hard time with one in a month.
ReplyDeleteI'm a quilter, well new to it, but I am really enjoying myself so far. I would love to do 52 quilts a year! Are they mostly lap/baby sized? Thanks for the chance
ReplyDeleteI like to sew, quilt, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch and crafting in general.
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter and a knitter. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly very busy and talented. I have made a quilt and a small wall hanging in the past but am thinking of picking it up again. I enjoy needlework but have been busy with other things.
ReplyDeleteI'm a quilter and cross-stitcher. That is allot of quilts, good for you. 24Tangent@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter and knitter. Belong to a church knit group, which I love! Have had to drop my quilt groups as they met at night and I am a caregiver to my daughter, who is ill. My quilting brings me so much joy, and is such a positive in my life! Thanks for this opportunity!
ReplyDeleteHi Marti!
ReplyDeleteAs the 'Gill in England'you know I'm a follower and a quilter!!
follow quilted and already follow you, love your blog
ReplyDeleteHi Marti! I'm a fellow GYB-er and new to your site. At least you tried to reach that many quilts - I'm amazed at what you accomplish! I quilt, but not as much as I'd I'd like to because other crafty projects done with and for my grandchildren take over for most of the year. I'd love to be entered in your give away. THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you started your blog. It's one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteRenragjd@gmail.com
I'm a textile artist. I have made a few quilts in the past but I prefer doing other 'stuff '. Thanks for the give away. I also have one over on my blog. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteHi, Marti - I am still following your blog and really will participate again in the UFOs. Last year ended too soon, but I did get 6 quilts done! Those would still be UFOs if not for you!! quiltspot@gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteHi, Marti....I'm a quilter, or should I say maker of quilt tops...LOL. Too many ideas, not enough time but I love what I'm doing & try to sew on something daily. Thanks for the delicious giveaway (drooling here)!
ReplyDeleteHi Marti, so much good work you are doing! I dabble in quilting, but really do more embroidery and fiber art that includes many different techniques. I enjoyed your blog. Susan
ReplyDeleteHi Marti, I recently found your blog so I enjoyed your re-introduction on this posting. I am a quilter since the early 1990s but always feel I need to be improving my skills (especially machine quilting). Thanks for the giveaway. Love the prizes.
ReplyDeletejoyecox@yahoo.com
Wow! You do keep busy. I am a quilter but only finish one or two a year. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'm a quilter and knitter. I've been knitting for more than 50 years and I love it, but my true love is quilting. I love all color all the time!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your posts so much and admire your productivity. The next time you post about the knitted hats for sailirs, would you note a couple easy patterns and the requirements again? I know you've done this before but I'd like to try making hats. I'm also one of your followers who loved the red couch. Hooray for your sons and their encouragement to you as we all benefit. Thanks to you and your sons!
ReplyDeleteHi Aunt TC -- thanks for the inspiration for my next "Thursdays are for Knitting" post. I'll include links to some of my favorite Hats for Sailors patterns.
DeleteI am a recently retired (yea!!!) quilter and I sew and crochet. My quilts are more traditional and practical as I make 10-20 charity quilts a year for the Pediatric Infusion Therapy Unit (kids chemo) at Mayo Clinic/St. Mary's Hospital when I go there for my own follow-up visits.
ReplyDeleteMy contact info is hpetrik at yahoo dot com . Apparently some server don't "authenticate" me as a suspicious address? Only a handful of blogs seem to have a problem with my address.
DeleteI've SO enjoyed following you!
ReplyDeleteThere isn't a fiber art that I have not loved learning to do!... (Love to learn!!)
But, quilting (designing, planning, sewing) is the center and heart of my pleasure/joy in creating!!
Thank you, Aunt Marti, for all you do, to inspire and encourage!!

I'm a quilter (or I call myself one). I have a TON of tops that need quilting and I keep making more so I'm more a topper than a quilter. LOL!! I like doing other crafts too but I'm trying to curve that impulse. Too many UFOs sitting around. SO I'm trying to focus on one hobby...quilting. My sewing room can't take any more stuff.
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter, sewist and occasional "crafty grandma"! I love being retired and having the free time to devote to my hobbies. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeletenettiecrain@live.com
I am amazed that anyone would even attempt to make 52 quilts in a year! I just finished my very first quilt ever, and it was only a baby quilt. I am sure your work is amazing and what a wonderful gift that is to anyone who receives one of these. A great and precious treasure. I do love quilts and have several that were made by my grandmother which are priceless to me. Also love your hats for sailors... now that sounds more doable. Enjoyed visiting your lovely blog and will look forward to visiting again, as you are one crafty lady! Enjoy all of the fun of this Grow Your Blog party.
ReplyDeleteHi Aunt Marti, so nice to "meet" you on this GYB party. I am one of Vicki's helpers as well- isn't it great fun? So many great blogs to visit. Yes I too am a quilter, it's such a wonderful hobby. I'll be back again for a longer "look around". Thanks for sharing your blog with us! :) And I hope you'll visit me at Stitch Lines.
ReplyDeleteHi Marti, from another Marti. Looks like you have a lot going on. 52 quilts in a year is an ambitious project. Did it ever feel like a chore instead of just a goal? I hope I am not a no reply blogger. I think I set it up right, but with wordpress, it's a little harder. Same with followers. I'm pretty sure I followed right, but my photo doesn't show.
ReplyDeleteYes I am a quilter, I have 3 projects going right now. To me quilting is so relaxing. I would love to try the patterns with the fabric. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to have found your blog! Had to follow, so I will be returning. Would love to win your giveaway. I am just getting back into quilting after a long hiatus.
ReplyDeletekathleen, fourmilesnorthofnowhwereATgmailDOTcom
Thanks for the opportunity to win your giveaway. Very generous.
ReplyDeleteHappy to see a quilter in the GRB party! I love quilts! I have not made one that is finished yet. I have started one for my daughter and just have the top made, minus the border fabrics (which I still need to have her help me shop for.) Hers has fabric with pinks, purples and greens, with princesses, crowns, and frogs. I hope to take some classes for quilting (and using the sewing machine better) someday!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE a chance in your drawing!!
Blessings, Jessica
I'm not a quilter, but my grandmother made some beauties.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a quilter, per se, but I do make quilt tops for World of Charity Stitching, a Yahoo group who makes gifts for seniors and children. My hobby is cross stitching.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Peggy

Hello there Marti. I'm so happy to meet you thru the GYB. I'm not much of a quilter but have recently done a very sweet, (and simple), quilt. I used squares which I cut from the skirts of my late relatives, (2 aunts, grandmother, and mother in law). I made two small lap quilts for my two daughters to remember their heritage. I'm proud to say that they actually came out really nicely. I do collect old thrift shop quilts and, as long as they were made by hand, I repair them for myself and love them for a few more years. I'm also long winded when I leave comments...lol. Off now to figure out the best way to follow you. Thank you so much for helping Vicki with the hop.
ReplyDeleteWow I do hand embroidered and finishing on a year is my speed. Your volume is amazing! Thanks for helping to host the party!
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter so the charms would be happily welcome to my stash! Thanks for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI am a quilter and I love to tole paint on furniture that has been discarded.
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter. I used to be a cross stitcher but quilting won out. I love Schnibbles and have made several. My daughter is drolling over the vintage modern. I still have a small amount that she has been attempting to steal. Is I won I would have to share.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't about how much we accomplish, it is about the journey itself. I will be adding your blog to my sidebar reading list. You are one busy lady and very inspiring to me! I wish there were groups in my area that did such things.
ReplyDeleteThank you to your son and your family for your service and sacrifices for our country!
Wow, in my first year of quilting, I made two quilts!
ReplyDeletet_ktl at yahoo.com
I quilt, knit, crochet and make other things as well. I live in Greece and I like your blog a lot. I adored your farmer's wife quilt!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this opportunity, I am a sewer but deep in my heart I would like to start quilting ^_^
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are gorgeous, and even if you didn't quite make it to 52 quilts in 2014, you are a lot more prolific than most of us! And it's wonderful that you are knitting hats for sailors too! I'm primarily a quilter, but I also like to knit and make jewelry.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is alot of quilts!! I can't imagine making a quilt in a week. It has taken me a year to get 3 tops and 1 finished quilt! :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
I'm a quilter, but i guess a very slow one. If I finish five a year, I consider that a success! Thanks for a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteallisonpogany@gmail.com
So nice to meet you! I'm not a 'sane' quilter (although my son & d-i-l have asked that I made them one this winter). I'm a crazy quilter though, if that counts! Enjoy the tour!!

ReplyDeletecork@pa.rr.com
I would really love to learn how to quilt someday, but I don't have the time for it right now! Impressive that you would attempt to make 52 quilts in a year, it doesn't matter if you didn't quite meet your goal! Following you on bloglovin' now via the GYB hop. I used to be a non-no-reply blogger, but I'm not sure now. Email is: heartfeltbalancehandmadelife(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI am trying to learn to quilt.
ReplyDeleteWow I love the idea behind your blog name- kudos to you for even trying such a task!! I am an aspiring quilter :) I've almost finished my first quilt but love reading blogs and learning so much about the craft- and there really is SO much to know :)
ReplyDeleteI am a beginner quilter.....always looking for new patterns to try out....
ReplyDeleteI am here for the party. I have quilted a tiny bit and also knitted just a smidge. I would love to get back into it. I like your hats for soldiers. My son was in the military. Love all your quilts.
ReplyDeleteI am no quilter but I've always been surrounded by quilts as my mother is. I'm more of a beader, sometimes knitter person.
ReplyDeleteHi, Marti - I became a follower a while back from someone who mentioned your blog and your goal of 52 in 52. I'm glad I came over. I'm a quilter. I recieve your emails and follow you via Bloglovin', too. I'm looking forward to see one of those parades myself. Your farmer's wife quilt is gorgeous! I have a giveaway going on my blog, too. It's a book. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine making that many quilts in one year.... I generally manage a couple and maybe a couple of smaller things like table runners and table toppers. As a wife of a retired Navy pilot I appreciate the kitting work your group is doing.
ReplyDeleteWow you are a prolific quilter!! My mom was, too, and now my sister has followed in her footsteps. I do more paper crafting, and jewelry....why then, do I have such a huge stash of fabric?!? And I'd love to add more to it by winning your sweet giveaway!
ReplyDeleteNice to visit your blog:-)
I am a "piecer". Is that a word? I piece quilts and usually have others quilt them, unless they are baby quilts or mini quilts. My first quilt was a 9 patch. I was 10 years old and went around the neighborhood asking for fabric. My mom taught me how to hand piece it and my dad built a frame in our basement. Our whole family quilted, my mom, dad and even my two older brothers (who were later in the Navy) quilted. I still have the quilt and it is 52 years old.

Hello from London - I still only show up as my husband so I'm probably a no reply commenter too!! I quilt - as you know. Thanks for the blog I love seeing your quilts. turner(underscore)post(at)hotmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteHugs, Gill x
You are a busy gal
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great GROW YOUR BLOG
Laura
You have a lovely blog. I can't believe you can complete an entire quilt in a week, let alone make a new one every week! I have a hard enough time completing a piece of jewelry in a week! You must be a very focused and accomplished sewer. I hope I've changed from a no reply blogger since I spent hours yesterday trying to sort it out.
ReplyDeleteLove the blog. Just stumbled upon your blog today. I'm a newbie quilter (3months) and I'm trying my first clutch. Love the blog and don't think I could even come close to 15 quilts in a year at this point. Still building my stash and patterns so I love the giveaway idea. Can't wait to watch the tutorials.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that your comment comes through as a "no reply commenter." Please email me your email address so if you win the giveaway, I can find you!
DeleteI have been reading your blog for awhile, and as a retired Sailor, thank you to your son!
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter and a blogger. I hope to join this hop next time:)
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you started a blog based on making a quilt a week. I don't quilt, so I won't enter the giveaway, but I really enjoyed your post. You are working on so many meaningful projects. Best of luck! :)
ReplyDelete~Jess
What an interesting post to read! Thank you for the great giveaway! sarah@forrussia.org

ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!

I am a quilter and crocheter, but with a very low output. 52 quilts in a year sounds overwhelming, how do you do it? Are you on track? Tarnia.hodges@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a quilter! Have a list to work through this year, but sometimes the heart sews what the heart wants to sew!
ReplyDeleteI can do most things, except knit. My brain still has trouble with the two needles. I am mostly a quilter right now, but I have a long term quilt project that can almost be called an embroidery project with a little bit of quilting. I also scrapbook when I manage to get my photos printed. "Mama's, don't let your kids grow up to be .jpegs!" Welcome to all of the visitors and future followers!
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter, cooker, sewer.I enjoy sewing and loove make quilt tops.My goal this year is quilting some of my top quilt.
ReplyDeleteYour idea for the UFO parade is awesome! Your giveaway is great too! So many patterns. Thanks so much for the giveaway
ReplyDeleteI've decided to join in on your UFO challenge! I've already made my list and each UFO is in a plastic bin. I'm raring to go for February!
ReplyDeleteHello Marti, Found your blog via GYB which I participate for the first time. Love what I saw on your blog and OMG you are a very productive and talented woman. Good luck with your goals. I'll be back for sure. ;^)
ReplyDeleteVery honest about not making the 52! The quilt for the 50th anniversary looked gorgeous. I don't quilt myself, always sucked at precision, but cross stitch and knit so not that far out. I always wanted to try my hand at the hand stitched quilting (there was a proper technical term but I don't remember it at the moment). I own about 5 books on quilting yet haven't braved it yet. There is always next year! Anyhow would love to enter and come by my giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'm both! I get into all kinds of art projects and am always trying new mediums. I got hooked on making quilts in the past year though. I've always loved the colours and textures and pattens in quilts and I loove making them for people.

Visiting from GYB, thanks for such a lovely give away. Wil visit more I'm sure
ReplyDeleteI use to do all sorts of craft projects and garment sewing but now I have migrated to quilting only. Quilting takes up a lot of time.

I am a quilter and have a renewed interest in cross stitch too. I enjoyed seeing all those finished quilts in your later posts.
ReplyDeleteI've been interested in quilting since 1976 when I was in high school. Started quilting shortly after and now that I'm not working have been quilting as much as possible. I completed 13 quilts last year. My goal is to finish a lot of UFO's in 2015 but just in January have created 3 more quilt tops. Guess I'll add them to the stack. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter and crocheter, but also have interest in many other arts. Last year I've finished 11 quilts, but these year in January I've completed 3 and working very seriosly on no. 4.Maybe in 100 years I would reach 52 quilts in a year.
ReplyDeleteI quilt and sew, although lately I've mostly been quilting. I also knit, crochet, and cross-stitch.
ReplyDeleteI am a "sometimes" quilter who's been dabbling at it for about 4 years. I don't sew very much but love it when I do - so I'm going to change that in 2015. I would love to win this giveaway and finish some UFOs - 52 quilts in 52 weeks is an inspirational blog! thanks!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy quilts. Don't make them myself. Would love to learn. Your giveaway is interesting. I would love to win. Its a pleasure meeting you, learning about you and what you do.
ReplyDeleteI am a slow quilter. Catching up reading my blogs.
