WIP Wednesday: BOM Rehab

Remember how I confessed that I have ten (that would be 10!) blocks of the month going?  And how I was going to do my summer "block a day" by sewing one BOM block each day?

If I count the easy blocks I made for Monday's "Design Wall Monday" and the blocks I made for today's Mystery Block Party at Ruth's Stitchery, I am right up to date -- it's the 55th day of summer, and I've made 61 blocks..  However, I haven't made 61 BOM blocks.

I'm up to date with "Ryokan."

Like that one with the door on the right-hand side? I think I may leave it like that, just to see if anyone notices!

And I'm only two months behind on my Marti Michell BOMs:

These are two different patchwork parties -- one is from 2010, one is new this year. But some of the blocks are the same, so I am doing them two-at-a-time.

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

Good thing I'm on "retreat" this week! I should have Monday's "Brick Road" quilt finished by Friday, hope you come back to see!

  1. I am fascinated by your "Ryokan". I am going to have to find the pattern - some day!

  2. I have about three of the Patchwork Party blocks and finishing kits. You just reminded me when I saw yours. Love your house blocks and your patchwork party ones too. Hugs......

  3. The Ryokan blocks are gorgeous! I live one county away from Franklin County, Kansas, where there's a driving tour of about 30 barns with painted quilt blocks. These blocks remind me of them.

I'm in a Marti & Me monthly class that is doing various patterns rather than sampler blocks. I love her templates! Beautiful color choices for those blocks too. :-)

Stopping in from the WIP Wednesday links.

  4. Your Ryokan is looking more wonderful each viewing.

  5. I for sure would not change the location of the door! Great blocks.

  6. I think I'd want to live in the house with the door on the "wrong" side. Who wants to be the same as everyone else? Not me! LOL

  7. I love the blocks you've been making. How do you manage to keep track of your projects let alone keep up to date with the blocks? I am in envy of your stamina and organisation.
