Design Wall Monday

Only two more days until the first day of Summer -- must get my Pyramid Block-a-Day completed!  I'm using Sara Nephew's "Super 60" rotary cutting tool to make my 60 degree triangles:

 


My pattern is "Streaks of Lightning" from the April 1999 (!) issue of American Patchwork & Quilting. The late 90s was when 30s reproduction fabrics first became readily available, and I bought a fat quarter of every print that was issued.  Until there got to be too many even for me to buy!

But the temperature is supposed to top 90 degrees Fahrenheit today, so I will be spending most of the day in my cool basement sewing room!

  1. Quilt looks great - and the scarf. 90F - we are having cool mornings - only 8 C today - a bit brisk!!
