Throw-Back Thursday: September 2013

You may have read that 52 Quilts' co-author and My Little Sailor is on leave from Japan. The blog will be on hiatus for the month of September -- but so you won't forget us, I've scheduled a few posts for the month. I apologize in advance that I won't be answering comments.

Last year on this date, I was desperately trying to finish BOMs!  On the design wall was a mystery BOM. It was designed by Debbie Caffrey, and was for a block party at Ruth's Stitchery.  Here is the link to the post.

This quilt became Finish #41 for 2013 and was gifted to a great-niece for her 12th birthday:



 I hope you're having a lovely September! It's TV dinner day -- when was the last time you ate a TV dinner?

    I'm not sure we have TV dinners here in England. Is it simply a meal eaten in front of the TV, or a ready prepared meal which you reheat to serve?
    Answer to the first, we haven't had a TV for years, answer to the second one, I can't remember the last time I ate a ready meal, but they are useful for the odd occasion when my husband comes home late.
    I do like that quilt. Isn't it interesting that quilts look so different when you start to step away from them and another pattern emerges.
